Sanjeev Baraili

Arbic Shahi Khadgi is a Nepali freelance musician, keyboardist, performer, music composer, songwriter, and music arranger known for his involvement in live shows, studio sessions, and collaborative contemporary music. Active in recent years, he contributes melodic arrangements, harmonic progressions, and modern keyboard textures across concerts, events, digital music, and production projects. His versatility across composition, songwriting, and arrangement makes him a dynamic presence in Nepal’s evolving music scene.

The year 2004 introduced Moment of Bliss, the album that included the song Phul ko Akhaan Maa, which brought Ani Choying Drolma much acclaim. The song, written by Durga Lal Shrestha and composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya, went on to be one of the most played songs on media and one would be hard-pressed to find anybody in Kathmandu who hadn’t heard the tune. The song broke the monotony of the then popular music with its melody and easy flowing instrumentation and Ani’s soothing, almost meditative vocals. Although largely unrecognised by the public, Gopal Rasaily, the arranger of the song, also managed to gather appreciation for his work from others in the business; it represented a breakthrough for him in the Nepali music industry. Rasaily, who is also the in-house arranger at the Do Re Mi studio.

Hom Nath Upadhyaya is a renowned Nepali tabla maestro celebrated for his mastery of classical, semi‑classical, and folk rhythms. Trained in the rich traditions of Hindustani classical music, he became one of Nepal’s most influential percussionists, performing internationally and collaborating with leading artists. His contributions include teaching at Tribhuvan University, mentoring new generations of musicians, and representing Nepal on global stages. Known for his precision, melodic clarity, and deep understanding of rhythmic cycles, Upadhyaya has played a vital role in preserving and promoting Nepali classical music. His performances and compositions continue to inspire students, audiences, and cultural institutions across Nepal and the diaspora.

Rupesh Shakya is a Nepali musician and flutist, known for his expressive playing, involvement in live performances, studio recordings, and collaborations within contemporary Nepali music. He works with traditional and modern flute styles, contributing to songs, instrumental pieces, and stage shows.
