Bir and Bikram are childhood best friends separated at six years old when Bikram leaves the village. Years later, Bir stays behind as an uneducated laborer, while Bikram becomes an educated teacher in Kathmandu. Bikram returns to the village to reunite with Bir and find him a suitable partner. Unbeknownst to Bikram, Bir is deeply in love with their childhood friend Joon, but keeps his feelings hidden due to a past promise made to Bikram. Matters complicate when Aaitey, the wealthy village local, forcefully tries to marry Joon, leading Bir and Bikram to stand together against Aaitey to protect her.
