Samundra Bhatta

Alok Nembang (June 9, 1973 – November 6, 2014) was one of Nepal’s most influential film and music‑video directors, celebrated for shaping the visual language of modern Nepali pop culture. Beginning his career as a VJ and model, he went on to direct over 600 music videos, introducing cinematic style, fresh aesthetics, and youth‑driven storytelling. Nembang made his feature‑film debut with the hit romantic drama Sano Sansar (2008), followed by Kohi Mero (2010). Known for his creativity, discipline, and trend‑setting vision, he remains a defining figure in Nepal’s contemporary visual and musical landscape.

B.S. Rana is a veteran Nepali actor celebrated for his commanding presence and memorable character roles across several decades of Nepali cinema. Known for his natural performance style and disciplined craft, he has appeared in many acclaimed films, contributing depth to social dramas, family stories, and commercial hits alike. Rana’s work in classics such as Basudev, Prem Pinda, Chino, Dakshina, Kanyadan, Muna Madan, and Dharma Sankat helped establish him as one of the industry’s most reliable senior actors. His enduring career reflects a rare combination of versatility, professionalism, and a deep commitment to Nepali storytelling.

Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal was an artist and theater actor. He had been active in Nepali cinema for a long time. Phuyal passed away on the 19th of Poush, 2073 B.S. (January 3, 2017), while performing on stage at the Rastriya Nachghar in Kathmandu. He collapsed while portraying King Janak in the play Maharshi Yagya Valkya, directed by Badri Adhikari. Despite immediate attention, he could not be revived. Phuyal was also seen in the popular comedy series Tito Satya, where he played the role of actress Deepashree Niraula’s father. In addition to television, he acted in numerous Nepali films. He had once expressed a wish to die while working in the theater—and ultimately, he departed while performing on stage. His catchphrase “Youre my love” with hip-hop style from Tito Satya made him widely recognized and beloved by audiences.
