Dinesh Raut is a Nepali film writer, director, producer and songwriter, He is known for I Am Sorry, November Rain (2014 film), Classic (film), Parva, Prasad & Prakash(2022) .Raut is the recipient of several awards,including National Film Awards and many other awards. Raut started his career at the age of 14 as a Theater Artist and later he worked as an assistant director in movie “Mero Euta Sathi Cha” before moving into directing. He made his directorial debut with “I am Sorry” (2012). His biggest success to date is November Rain, starring Aaryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha from which he received Box Office movies award 2015 Best film director award and CG DCine award 2015 in Best film Director. Raut's Classic (2016) also became a big success at the box office and won the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) Film Director Award. Also received the Jury award for movie Classic at International Nepalese Artist Society (INAS) Award, 2016. Raut's recent release was “Parva” (2017) starring Koshish Chettri, Namrata Shrestha which also became a huge success in thriller genera.

Sahara Sharma is an independent Nepali filmmaker, writer, producer, and media entrepreneur recognized for her socially grounded narratives and youth‑focused storytelling. After completing her Master’s of Science in Communication from Bangalore University, she founded Gauthali Entertainment in Kathmandu, where she began shaping her voice as a director and media creator.Starting her career as a journalist with Nepal Republic Media, Sahara transitioned into filmmaking with several short films before directing her first television film, Chasing Rainbows (2013) — a bold exploration of sexuality, migration, and depression among Nepali youth. The film opened the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF 2013), won the Nepal Panorama Award, and later received the Critics’ Award at the Toronto Nepali Film Festival (2014).She has since produced and directed two television series — Gauthali ka Kathaharu (2017–18) and Maya Bhanne Cheez Estai Ho (2018–19) — and hosts Gauthali Talks (2020–), a roundtable show on cinema and media. Her new feature‑length project, Ek Mutthi Badal, marks her return to narrative filmmaking.

Prakash Thapa is regarded as one of the legendary directors of Nepali cinema, known for shaping the visual and narrative style of the industry during its formative decades. Active primarily in the 1980s and 1990s, he directed several influential films that blended emotional storytelling with strong social themes, helping establish a more modern cinematic language in Nepal. Thapa earned respect for his disciplined direction, character‑driven narratives, and ability to bring out memorable performances from actors. Though less publicly documented than some of his contemporaries, his films remain admired for their craft and cultural resonance. His contribution continues to be recognized as an important chapter in the evolution of Nepali filmmaking

Yadav Kharel (born 23 February 1943 in Kavrepalanchowk) is a veteran Nepali film director, writer, lyricist, and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential creative figures in Nepali cinema. He was among the first Nepali filmmakers to earn a formal diploma in Film Direction and Production from the London Film School in 1971, establishing a new professional standard in the industry . Kharel began his career at Radio Nepal before transitioning into filmmaking, where he became known for directing genre‑defining works, including Nepal’s first major comedy‑satire, historical drama, historical biopic, and mythological film . He also served as the founding chairperson of the Film Development Board (2000–2002), shaping national film policy and institutional growth .
