Prem Dhoj Pradhan is a Nepalese musician, born in 1938 in Chautara, a small town 28 miles east of Kathmandu. He is a singer, composer, and a regional playback singer. He sings in the two major languages of Nepal, Nepal Bhasa and Nepali. He is also known as the Golden Voice and King of Romantic Melodies of Nepal. Prem Dhoj is known for being the first to perform with a guitar in Nepal. He was also the first Nepali singer to sing with Indian playback singer Usha Mangeshkar for the movie Maitighar in 1965. In 1985, he sang duet songs with Asha Bhosle for the movie Mayalu in Bombay, India. Prem Dhoj has varied his musical style throughout his career and recorded approximately 700 songs on Radio Nepal, including live broadcasting and recorded songs.

Chirag Khadka, known artistically as 5:55, is a Kathmandu‑born singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer whose genre‑blending sound fuses folk melodies, hip‑hop rhythms, and spiritual themes. Rising to prominence with the viral hit “Budi”, he has since built a devoted following through songs like “Samadhi,” “Life Jacket,” “Maya,” and “Samjhirakhnu.” A self‑producing artist with a strong visual and philosophical aesthetic, 5:55 continues to shape Nepal’s modern music landscape with introspective lyrics and experimental soundscapes.

Hemant Sharma is a renowned Nepali singer, songwriter, and musician known for his contributions to modern, pop, and folk music. Born in Triveni, Nawalparasi, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Tribhuvan University before making a name for himself in the music industry. His first album, Oh Priya, was released in 2000, but it was his song Maya Sarai Mahango from a 2002 album that brought him widespread recognition. Over the years, Sharma has recorded more than 100 songs and released over seven solo albums. He has also served as the president of the Performers Society of Nepal from 2015 to 2017. His music style blends folk, Nepali modern, and pop influences, making him a beloved figure in Nepalese music.

  Lasimit Rai, born in Rangapani, Jalpaiguri, India, was a celebrated Nepali singer active for more than three decades. She earned her Master’s degree in Nepali Literature from Tribhuvan University and taught at United Academy in Jawalakhel. Her admired film songs include Mayaluko Muharai Hansilo from Gauley, Sangsangai Bachna Paun from Lekhanth, Mari Gaye Muri Mato from Paradeshi Kanchha, and Aaj Maile Ram Namai Japey from Majhi Dai. Her modern hits include Sunkoshiko Sunko Pani, Samjhanale, and Ghamle Pani Polchha. She lent her voice to over fifty songs. Rai passed away in 2021 due to COVID‑19.
