Born on January 5, 1986, in Ramuwa, Baglung, she has become a household name through decades of dedication to Nepali folk culture. Her musical journey began in the early 2000s, and she rose to prominence through duets with her husband and frequent collaborator, Raju Dhakal. Together, they’ve delivered countless hits, including “Oralima Bar”, “Dui Mutuko Bandhan”, and “Takine Aaina”. Her discography also features beloved songs like “Banki Chari” with Arjun Sapkota, “Lauri Harayo” with Pashupati Sharma, and “Rudai Fulyo Makhmali” with Badri Pangeni. Devi has received numerous accolades, including the Music Khabar Music Award, Teej Music Award, and Kalika Music Award, recognizing her as one of the best female folk singers in Nepal. She was also elected as a central member of the Lok Dohori Pratisthan in 2019, affirming her leadership in the folk music community. Her recent releases like “Saili Salala” and “Kholi Salala Jhaliko Jhalala” continue to resonate with audiences, blending heartfelt lyrics with traditional melodies.

Dil Maya Khati was a beloved Nepali singer known as the “Melody Moon” of the Himalayas. Born in 1999 BS in Ghumpahad, Darjeeling, she began singing at age five and quickly captivated audiences across Nepal, Sikkim, and Bhutan. Her golden voice earned admiration from legends like Raj Kapoor and Narayan Gopal. In 2018 BS, she debuted on Radio Nepal and won a gold medal in a national music competition. Though she recorded only 12 songs between 2018 and 2030 BS, her impact was profound. After a long hiatus, she made a triumphant return in 2056 BS with the album Shikha. Honored with numerous awards, including the Devkota Samman and Bhupal Sangeet Puraskar, she was celebrated for her emotional depth and vocal purity. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of Nepali music lovers.

Bom Bahadur Karki is a talented Nepali Lok Dohori singer known for his contributions to traditional folk music. His songs often reflect the rich cultural heritage of Nepal, blending heartfelt lyrics with captivating melodies. Some of his popular works include Dai Saila, Sitalu Gham Chhaya, and Devi Deurali, which showcase his deep connection to Nepali folk traditions.

Nawin K. Khadka is a Nepali Purbeli folk singer, composer, and cultural documentarian known for preserving Eastern Nepal’s Jhyaure, Khyali, and traditional dance‑based musical heritage. Active through the Arun Valley Cultural Research Center, he has performed and composed major works such as “Chha Salam Kasari Bolau,” “Hou Bari Lai Lai,” “Hunna Ma Bhane Ram Saili,” and “Ama Jyu Ko Butte Ma Choli.” Khadka frequently serves as singer, music composer, videographer, editor, and director, making him one of the few multi‑disciplinary creators in Purbeli folk. His projects highlight authentic Sankhuwasabha–Arun Upatyaka rhythms, traditional dance forms, and community‑based cultural preservation.
