Dil Maya Khati was a beloved Nepali singer known as the “Melody Moon” of the Himalayas. Born in 1999 BS in Ghumpahad, Darjeeling, she began singing at age five and quickly captivated audiences across Nepal, Sikkim, and Bhutan. Her golden voice earned admiration from legends like Raj Kapoor and Narayan Gopal. In 2018 BS, she debuted on Radio Nepal and won a gold medal in a national music competition. Though she recorded only 12 songs between 2018 and 2030 BS, her impact was profound. After a long hiatus, she made a triumphant return in 2056 BS with the album Shikha. Honored with numerous awards, including the Devkota Samman and Bhupal Sangeet Puraskar, she was celebrated for her emotional depth and vocal purity. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of Nepali music lovers.

Tika Bhandari is a Nepalese song composer and singer of Nepali music. He has composed music for over 500 Nepali modern songs and has released a total of 23 music albums. He is best known for composing songs like Goli Sishako, Khusi Ta Kahan (Deep Shrestha), Kina Dukcha Timro Man (Prem Dhoj Pradhan), Yo Maya Bhanne Chij (Anju Panta) Gaule, Jo Desh Lai (Kiran Pradhan), Ma Sabda Charera (Deepak Kharel), Chanchale Timra (Rabin Sharma), Chiso Chiso Sun Koshi (Kumar Kancha), Hamro Prem ko Katha (Karna Das), Harka Jeet (Tika Bhandari, Rajesh Payal Rai), Chhati Bhitra Dhuk Dhuki (Tika Bhandari), Qatar Gaye Suadi Gaye (Dekendra Thapa), Aadha Bato (Swarup Raj), Barsat ma uni rujhda (Ram Krishna Dhakal), Sagarmatha Roi Rahechha(Ram Krishna Dhakal), Gangalal ko Jasto mutu (Shiva Pariyar), Timro Man Bata (Pramod Kharel), Ma ta hajur van ko driver (Udit Narayan Jha), Jhilimili Gaun Gharai Ramailo (Deepa Narayan Jha), Ko Sanga Chaina Afno Simana (Mohammed Aziz) etc. Most of the Nepalese singers have sung his compositions. He received Nepal Bidhya Bhusan in 2003 for being faculty topper in M.A. in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. He is also the Deputy Director of Radio Nepal. On 19 May 2016, he participated an environmental song by 365 Nepali artists lyrics and music by Nipesh Dhaka, in entitled Melancholy which set a Guinness World Records.

Shakti Ballav Shrestha is a distinguished Nepali music composer and singer, renowned for his significant contributions to the country's music industry. Early Life and Education: Born on February 5, 1959, in Charikot, Dolakha, Nepal, Shakti Ballav is the son of Laxmi Kumar Shrestha and Khadga Kumari Shrestha. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Trichandra College, Kathmandu. His musical education was under the tutelage of the late Chetnath Sharma, specializing in Eastern Classical Music. Musical Career: Shakti Ballav commenced his journey in music composition in 1975 (2032 B.S.). His first recorded piece aired on Radio Nepal in 1978 (2035 B.S.), featuring lyrics by Dr. Dirgha Singh Bam and vocals by Pratap Adhikari. Rajan Thakuri is a Nepali folk and dohori singer, lyricist, and composer known for his expressive vocal style and long-standing contribution to lok‑geet and live dohori culture. Active since the late 2000s, he is recognized for popular songs such as “Sansar Ghati Chha,” “Eauta Chitthi Lekhna Manlachha,” “Timrai Jhalko Timrai,” “Simsim Pani,” and “Haatma Lagyo Sunya.” His work spans studio recordings, panchebaja performances, and extensive live dohori shows in Nepal and abroad.
