Badri Pangeni is a renowned Nepalese folk and dohori singer, celebrated for his contributions to Nepali music. Born in Nawalparasi, Nepal, he later moved to Palpa for his schooling. After completing his School Leaving Certificate, he relocated to Kathmandu in 1998 and worked at Pukar Dohori Sanjh for six years. His first album, "Tansen Kasauli," marked the beginning of his musical journey. Over the years, he has sung more than five dozen songs, including hits like "PN Campus," "Beauty Number One," and "Sasurlima," a duet with Sindhu Malla. Badri Pangeni's music often reflects traditional Nepali culture, making him a prominent figure in the genre. He also served as the president of the Nepal Folk Duet Academy, showcasing his dedication to promoting folk music.

Sharmila Gurung is a senior Nepali folk and dohori singer known for her powerful, earthy vocal style and her mastery of traditional genres such as salaijo, kauda, roila, and lok‑dohori. Born in Syangja, Iladi, she began her musical journey after passing the Radio Nepal vocal test in 2056 BS, recording her first song “Nilo Pachauri”, which became a widely recognized hit of its time.Over the years, Sharmila has recorded over 1,000 folk songs, including enduring favorites such as “Ballai Bho Bheta,” “Kali Ganga Taren,” “Farka Muglani,” “Rani Ghataima,” and numerous salaijo and Gurung cultural songs. She has also released her solo album Gahana, showcasing her versatility across Nepali folk traditions.Sharmila is celebrated for her national and international stage presence, performing across the UK, Japan, Belgium, Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, Bahrain, Qatar, Portugal, and India.

Brata Gandarva, a renowned folk singer and Sarangi player, was born on 25th Poush, 2043 BS, in Jarayotar, Palpale, Bhojpur. She is the fourth daughter of Dambar Gandharba and Chija Maya Gandharba. Growing up in a large family with two brothers and six sisters, Brata's childhood was marked by a deep connection to music, especially Sarangi. Her father, a professional Sarangi player, and her mother, who also played the instrument, were her primary sources of inspiration. Though Brata was initially shy and quiet as a child, her love for Sarangi and singing gradually grew as she accompanied her mother around the village, performing and learning the traditional craft. The family's financial struggles further motivated Brata to continue the musical tradition, as it was both a means of sustenance and a way of life. Education and Musical Journey: Unlike many musicians, Brata didn’t receive formal schooling during her early years in the village. However, her connection with music was solidified when she met Gopal Siwakoti Chintan, a renowned figure who inspired her to pursue formal education and music training. Upon moving to Kathmandu, Brata joined Tri-Ratna Cooperative School, where she completed her S.L.C. and later went on to study at Lalit Kala Campus, earning her I.A. degree. She is currently in her B.A. 2nd year at the same institution. Her musical journey began under the mentorship of her parents, with her father being a significant influence on her playing technique. After moving to Kathmandu, she continued her training at Nepal Sangh Vidhalaya, under the guidance of Shyam Nepali, and started recording her songs in Music Nepal around 2053 BS. Brata’s contributions to folk music extend beyond her own performances; she is also a dedicated teacher, sharing her knowledge of Sarangi with students six days a week at various institutions.

Tilak Bam Malla, also known by his stage name Parivesh, is a Nepali folk-pop singer. He gained popularity in the late 90s with his second Lok Pop album, Parivesh Vol.2, which featured hit songs like Mutu Chune, Bhote Talcha, Haat Ma Rumal, and Chaite Dashain. He is considered a pioneer of the Lok Pop genre in Nepal. Malla has released numerous successful songs and albums, and his music continues to resonate with Nepali audiences. He also owns Parivesh Recording Studio, where he supports talented musicians who want to revolutionize the Nepali music industry. Beyond music, he has been involved in humanitarian efforts, especially during the devastating Nepal earthquake in 2015.
