Dibya Khaling (March 28, 1952 (15 Jestha 2009 BS)) is a famous Nepali musician, composer and lyricist. Dibya Khaaling has rendered music for about 1000 songs, including the famous “Mero geet sabai timi laai..” sung by Arun Thapa , Ma Ta Laligurans Bhayechhu, Hey Bir Hinda Aghi Sari, Preyasika Yaadharu, Mayako Aadharma, and Bipana Babhaye Bachidine, and music for plays and films (Nepali film Didi by Pratap Subba). Khaling moved to Nepal from Darjeeling in the 1960s and worked with Radio Nepal. He composed music for singers like Narayan Gopal, Arun Thapa, Gyanu Rana, Mira Rana etc. A book “Dibya Sangeetkaar, Dibya Khaaling” has been written by his friends and family members, such as poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire and musicians Kiran Pradhan and Bulu Mukarung in his memory. He was married to Grace Khaaling. He is survived by three sons (Prajaya, Pradesh, Pratibimba), one daughter (Pratigya), two granddaughters (Divyanah Grace and Aanyata Parisa) and two grandsons (Noah and Deedan Daniel). Dibya was suffering from heart problems and died on 25 June 2006.

Robin Tamang is a Nepalese singer, musician, actor and founder of rock band Robin & Looza &  Robin and The New Revolution. Born in Singapore, he was youngest of five siblings born to the family of a British Army. Due to the different postings of his father, he moved to several country in his childhood like Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei. During his schooling in Singapore, he used to listen to Jimmy Hendrix and Deep Purple, who became the true inspirations to him. While he was doing his college in Humber College in Toronto, in the mid-1980s, he formed his second band Tamang and performed at different stages. In 1996, he came back to Nepal and went to Pokhara, his father's place and joined the rock band Looza. He performed together with Looza but soon this journey came to an end after the group disbanded in 2005.

Rajina Rimal, born on 3rd Jestha, 2049 BS in Dillibazar, Kathmandu, is a well-known Nepali singer recognized for her melodious voice and early entry into the music industry. Raised in a musically inclined family, Rajina was inspired by her father Robin Rimal and uncle Rajan Rimal, both active in Nepal’s music scene. She began singing on stage at just six years old, winning several school competitions. A lively and cheerful child, she studied at Galaxy School and later Surayadaya Boarding School. One of her fondest memories includes a trip to Hetauda, and a humorous school incident where she accidentally hit a microphone with her nose, leading to a nosebleed—something she never forgot. Her professional music journey started at age 12 when musician Samrat Thapa offered her the song "Basanta Ko," recorded at Ciney Sounds Studio. Though intended as a test, the song became popular, prompting the release of her debut album "Pari" two years later. It featured a blend of eastern and western styles, including the hit song "Ma Ramro Bhanda" directed by Alok Nembang and composed by Raju Singh. Rajina also trained in classical music under Sangeeta Rana and became a playback singer for films such as "Saput" and "Mr. Mangalay." Her recent works include "Timi Bina Bachu Kasari" from November Rain, and "Paani Ko Foka" composed by Hari Lamsal. She released a curated album titled "Best of Rajina Rimal." In 2015, she married Binod Shrestha. With over 300 songs and contributions to 50+ films, Rajina Rimal remains a celebrated name in Nepali music.

Saraswoti Khatri is a Nepali singer known for her graceful vocal style and contributions to modern, Hindi Cover and Bhajan music. Active in the Nepali music scene for over a decade, she has performed at cultural events, weddings, and national ceremonies, earning admiration for her emotive delivery and stage presence. She gained wider attention in 2022 when she sang at the wedding of journalist Sumnima Udas, where she met Indian politician Rahul Gandhi. Her tweet describing him as a “humble and simple person” went viral, highlighting her role as a cultural bridge between Nepal and India. Saraswoti’s repertoire includes songs like “Madushala,” which showcases her ability to blend poetic lyrics with melodic finesse. Though not widely recorded, her live performances and social media presence have made her a beloved figure among Nepali audiences. She continues to represent Nepali music with dignity and warmth, inspiring through both voice and presence.
