Ciney Gurung is a talented Nepali singer, composer, and songwriter. Born on December 8, 1977, in Kurseong, Darjeeling, she later moved to Nepal, where she gained recognition for her soulful music. Her career took off with hit songs like "Timro Mayama" and "Mann," and she was named the best female pop singer of the year by Radio Kantipur in 2009. She has contributed to various albums and projects, including participating in "Melancholy," an environmental song featuring 365 Nepali artists, which set a Guinness World Record for the most vocal solos in a song recording. Ciney Gurung's music often blends pop with heartfelt lyrics, making her a beloved figure in Nepali music.

Born on September 12th in Kavresthali, Rawaltar, Shashi Rawal developed a passion for singing at a young age. Encouraged by her parents, Shashi pursued her musical dreams, despite initial resistance from her father. Her love for music blossomed as she started writing her own lyrics and composing songs, and her talent was soon recognized after winning a competition that led to her recording her first song. Her breakthrough moment came with the song "Chahana Sakiyo", which garnered significant attention and appreciation. This success paved the way for her to collaborate with popular singer Yash Kumar on his album, marking a major milestone in her career. Over the years, Shashi has contributed to various albums, remixes, and jingles, establishing herself as a talented and versatile artist. With a gold medal in her junior diploma from Kala Nidhi Indira Sangeet Maha Vidhalaya, Shashi Rawal continues to grow as an artist, constantly exploring new avenues to express her passion for music.

Hira Devi Waiba (1940–2011) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer whose voice became the soul of traditional Nepali music. Born in Ambootia, Darjeeling, she was the first artist to professionally record Nepali folk songs, including the first-ever Tamang Selo track “Chura ta Hoina Astura.” Her career spanned over four decades, during which she recorded more than 300 songs and worked with prestigious platforms like All India Radio, BBC, and His Master’s Voice. She was the first Nepali folk artist to be signed by Music Nepal and remains the only Grade A folk singer with All India Radio. Her timeless songs like “Phariya Lyaaidiyechan” and “Ramri Ta Ramri” continue to resonate across generations. After her passing in 2011, her children Navneet and Satya Aditya Waiba revived her legacy through the tribute project Ama Lai Shraddhanjali. Hira Devi Waiba remains a cultural icon and guardian of Nepali folk heritage.

Mamata Dipabima (also credited as Mamata Dipbim) is a respected figure in Nepali music, known for her expressive vocals and contributions to modern and classic Nepali songs. Active since the late 1990s, she has released numerous albums and collaborated with prominent artists and composers like Madan Dipbim and Dipesh Pradhan. She has appeared on albums such as Mamata-1, Mamata-3: Tara Gandai, Ke Yo Maya Ho – Mamata-4, and Greencardko Lobhma. Her music blends heartfelt lyrics with melodic arrangements, often reflecting themes of love, longing, and cultural identity
