Laboni Chakraborty is a talented Nepali classical singer originally from Kolkata, India. She has made a significant impact on Nepal’s contemporary classical music scene, captivating audiences with her soulful renditions. She is also a judge on the Mero Voice Universe talent show.  Early Life & Education Laboni Chakraborty grew up in a musical family, where her father and relatives were singers. She began learning music at the age of five under the guidance of Baishali Juardhar. Later, she trained under Ajoy Chakrabarty, a renowned Hindustani classical vocalist, for ten years. She pursued her academic degree in music at Rabindra Bharati University, where she was a gold medalist in her master’s program. Career & Contributions Despite her strong musical foundation in India, Laboni Chakraborty chose to work in Nepal, where she has become one of the most respected classical singers. She teaches music at Lalit Kala Campus, Tribhuvan University, and runs her own music school, Raagrup, where she mentors aspiring musicians. She has performed in various prestigious events, including the Yalamaya Classic, where her rendition of Vilambit and Madhya Khayal in Raag Todi received a standing ovation. Deshbhakta Khanal is a talented actor and director from Nepal. He began his career in theater, performing in plays like Gorakha Bhartikendra and Merchant of Venice. Later, he transitioned to television as an assistant director, working on the series Guruaama Nepalki. His film career took off with Bijaya Parajaya, where he contributed as both an actor and assistant director. Over the years, he has acted in more than 20 feature films, 45 TV serials, and 35 stage dramas. He has also worked as a scriptwriter for around 20 projects. In 1999, he started directing Nepali films, with notable works including Pinjada, Man Mero Mandaina, Santan Thari Tharika, Baazee, and Achanak. Additionally, he has been involved in international projects, such as the Japanese film Miteri Gaun (Tomodachi No Mura) and the American movie Highway to Dhampus.

Chetan Karki was a legendary Nepali lyricist, film director, screenwriter, and novelist who made a lasting impact on Nepali cinema and music. Born on November 7, 1938, in Syangja, Nepal, he was one of the first screenwriters in Nepali cinema, writing his debut screenplay for Pariwartan. Over his career, he contributed to more than 100 Nepali films as a writer and director. Career Highlights Chetan Karki was known for his versatile storytelling and lyrical compositions. Personal Life & Legacy Chetan Karki passed away on May 16, 2021, due to COVID-19 complications at the age of 83. His contributions to Nepali literature, music, and cinema remain influential, and he is remembered as one of Nepal’s most extraordinary talents.

He has contributed to more than 10 feature films as an assistant/primary editor and has built a strong reputation in the color department, especially through his work on critically rated films such as Pujar Sarki (2024) and Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi (2024). Parajuli is also the editor of the upcoming feature film Kumari (2026) and has edited several popular music videos, including Salala Salala (2022) and Telephoneko Tower (2019). His post‑production style is defined by clean pacing, emotional rhythm, and polished color aesthetics that enhance narrative tone.
