Khem Raj Gurung was a celebrated Nepalese folk singer and songwriter, known for his contributions to the Lok Dohori genre. Born on January 14, 1975, in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha district, Nepal, he gained fame with iconic songs like "Wari Jamuna Pari Jamuna," "Aalu Tama," and "Bhanchan Budapakale." As the founder and managing director of Tune & Tone Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., he has also played a vital role in promoting independent music in Nepal. He is actively involved as a composer and coordinator at Sur Sangam Recording Studio and has served as a Pre- judge and mentor on the music reality show Nepal Idol, Nepal Star And Mero Voice Universe S2. Gaurav is widely respected for his humble nature and dedication to authentic Nepali sounds. His work continues to influence the evolving Nepali music scene, and his legacy lies in both his soulful creations and his efforts to nurture new talent.
