Jiwan Kumar Parajuli professionally known as Jiwan Parajuli is a famous film and Entertainment Journalist & Author from Nepal. He is involved in journalism and has been continuing the work since 2007 AD. On March 19, 2022, Parajuli released a book, Close-up. In the book, Parajuli interviews 61 people related to the Nepali film industry and develops a story from each of them. His non-fictional book is about the multidimensional portrayal of the Nepali film industry through a journalistic lens. Mr. Parajuli is the Immediate Past Vice President of the Film Journalist Association Nepal. In 2007, he started his media career as a technical team member at FM station Radio Upatyaka 87.6MHz in Kathmandu, Nepal. Later on, he started to host some regular film and entertainment shows. He is also the media coordinator of the Film Development Board (Government of Nepal). His interest in films and the entertainment industry made him in a way to work as a professional film journalist. After getting experience with a few other FM stations, national television (Nepal Television), and online portals, he also started his own online news portal "Thuloparda.com".
