Sandip Chhetri

Shiva Shankar Manandhar (1932–2004) was a legendary figure in Nepali music and cinema, celebrated for his versatility as a singer, composer, and actor. Born in Newroad, Kathmandu, to a musically inclined Newar family, his early exposure to classical Newari songs through his father, Man Bahadur, laid the foundation for his lifelong devotion to music. He joined Radio Nepal in 1951, where he collaborated with Nati Kaji to shape the golden era of Nepali music. Over his prolific career, he composed around 1,200 songs and sang nearly 300, spanning genres like love ballads, bhajans, patriotic anthems, and tragic melodies. His compositions for artists such as Narayan Gopal, Tara Devi, and Aruna Lama remain timeless. 🎬 In cinema, Shiva Shankar played the lead role of Lahure Dai in Aama (1964), Nepal’s first feature film. Prechya Bajracharya famously known as Pari is a YouTube sensation who started her YouTube channel in 2012 to share her creativity. Pari rose to fame in 2013 when she took part in the Raw Barz Rap Battle. This multi-talented YouTube sensation was able to secure a role in the movie Jatra which released in 2016, which not only brought her to limelight but also established her as a talented contender in both the music and film industry of Nepal.

Sabin Shrestha is a Nepali actor and model known for his dynamic roles in over two dozen films. He won Best Actor for Hero Returns at the 13th D Cine Award (2023) and received the Encouragement Award for Hawaldar Suntali at the 7th LG D Cine Award (2072). Sabin currently serves as General Secretary of the Film Artist's Association of Nepal (FAAN), contributing to the growth of Nepal’s film industry. His filmography includes Andaj, Hero Returns, Lily Bily, Rampyari, Lootera, Bhag Sani Bhag, Aadhi Bato, and First Love.
