Some of his timeless classics include Bajho Khet Ma, Paan Ko Paat, and Simsime Panima. He is also known for playing traditional Nepali instruments like the sarangi and madal. Born in Tanahun, Nepal, Prem Raja Mahat faced hardships early in life, losing both parents at a young age. Despite these challenges, he pursued his passion for music and became a celebrated artist. In 1996, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued to create music and even opened a Nepali restaurant in Baltimore

Purshottam Gaire is a Nepali singer, composer, and lyricist known for his contributions to modern and folk Nepali music. Nawin K. Khadka is a Nepali Purbeli folk singer, composer, and cultural documentarian known for preserving Eastern Nepal’s Jhyaure, Khyali, and traditional dance‑based musical heritage. Active through the Arun Valley Cultural Research Center, he has performed and composed major works such as “Chha Salam Kasari Bolau,” “Hou Bari Lai Lai,” “Hunna Ma Bhane Ram Saili,” and “Ama Jyu Ko Butte Ma Choli.” Khadka frequently serves as singer, music composer, videographer, editor, and director, making him one of the few multi‑disciplinary creators in Purbeli folk. His projects highlight authentic Sankhuwasabha–Arun Upatyaka rhythms, traditional dance forms, and community‑based cultural preservation.

Hiranya Bhojpure is a respected Nepali singer, musician, and writer, known for his contributions to folk and modern Nepali music. He was born in Deurali, Bhojpur and became a household name through his work with the Lekali music group, alongside artists like Ganesh Rasik and Urmila Shrestha. His music often reflects themes of Nepali identity, nature, and social issues. Some of his popular songs include: Rato Bhale (with Ganesh Rasik) Lahara Pahara Chhahara Ko Desh Tyamka Daanda Hara Hara Mahadev Paani De Mero Atit Ek Anjuli Ghaam (Album) Bhojpure was also a poet and writer, incorporating his hometown into his artistic identity. His work helped shape Nepali music by blending traditional elements with modern storytelling.
