Sitaram Pokharel is a distinguished Nepali musician known for his contributions to modern and pop music. Born on October 4 in Simpani, Khotang, Nepal, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a focus on Economics. Despite his academic background, his passion for music led him to become one of Nepal’s most recognized artists. His musical journey began with The Tinos Group, a band formed in 1980. He released his first song, Sajaidiyeu, on Radio Nepal in 1985, marking the start of a prolific career. Over the years, he has composed and performed more than 40 songs and released 14 music videos, making a lasting impact on the Nepali music scene. Throughout his career, Sitaram Pokharel has released several acclaimed albums, including Prayas (1998), Khoji Herinau (2001), Binakaran (2005), Spark (2008), October 4 (2009), and Samman (2011). His songs and music videos have featured some of Nepal’s top models and actresses, such as Ruby Rana, Sumi Khadka, Nisha Adhikari, and Arunima Lamsal. His dedication to music has earned him numerous accolades, including the Nepal Freedom Press Union Award and the Annapurna Music Award (2066 B.S.). He has also held significant roles in musical organizations, serving as Vice President of Purwanchal Sangitik Kalakar Manch, Vice President of Simple Art, Baneshwor, and a Member of the Nepal Musical Association. Beyond music, Sitaram Pokharel is known for his love of traveling to collect songs, as well as his passion for football and table tennis. His favorite song is Ma Maunta Ma by Om Bikram Bista, and he greatly admires singers like Udit Narayan Jha and Sonu Nigam. Despite his love for music, he dislikes excessive talkativeness and smoking, especially in enclosed spaces. One of his most memorable experiences in his career was an all-night video shoot for Aankhako Nanima, reflecting his dedication to his craft. He expresses deep gratitude to his fans and the models who contributed to his music videos’ success. Sitaram Pokharel remains a respected and influential figure in the Nepali music industry, continuing to inspire new generations of artists and music enthusiasts alike.

Tulasi Parajuli

Tulasi Parajuli was born on June 23, 1972, in Dadha Bazaar, Dhankuta, Nepal, to Makar Nanda Parajuli and Tika Devi Parajuli. As the eldest son, he spent his childhood in Dhankuta, where his mischievous nature often led him to skip classes in favor of attending cultural programs. His academic journey took him from Bhanu Secondary School for his SLC, to Dharan for his Intermediate certificates, and finally to Patan Campus, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nepali at R R College, Kathmandu. Entry into the Music Scene Parajuli’s passion for music was ignited by listening to songs on Radio Nepal, inspiring him to emulate the singers he admired. His enthusiasm for cultural events grew stronger when he moved to Dharan for further studies, leading him to participate more actively in musical programs. He eventually formed the band Jhankar, performing across major towns in Eastern Nepal. Work and Contributions Parajuli continues to be an influential figure in Nepali folk music. In 2024, he released a new song, "Musukkai Hasi", which has been well received. He also performed a solo evening featuring over a dozen songs in support of cancer and kidney patients, blending music with philanthropy. Beyond Music Apart from his musical career, Parajuli is dedicated to education. He serves as a Nepali teacher at Nobel Academy and teaches music at Nobel, Preston, and Annapurna College. He also manages Sangeet Sadhana Private Limited, a music school he founded to foster a strong learning environment for aspiring musicians. Additionally, he has been involved in hosting 'Lok Bhaka', a program for a UK-based Nepali television channel. Tulasi Parajuli remains a respected name in Nepali music, continuously evolving while staying true to his folk roots. Santosh Lama

Santosh Lama, born on 6th Shrawan, 2043 BS, in Naubise 4, Dhading, is a renowned Nepali singer known for his melodious voice and heartfelt songs. The youngest son of Surendra Lama and Bishnu Maya Lama, he grew up in a middle-class family alongside four brothers and one sister. Santosh’s passion for music began at a young age. He participated in various school competitions and gained early recognition. His breakthrough came when he won Image F.M. Sur Sangam in his Grade 10. He also participated in Timro Sur Mero Geet, reaching the quarterfinals. His musical journey led him to Doremie Music School, where he honed his skills with a 1-year Tabla course and a 3-year singing course. Santosh's big break came when he won Nepali Tara 2. This victory was a turning point in his career, and it was during this time that he recorded his first song, "Bani Parecha." Since then, he has recorded over 200 songs for various albums, films, and collections, becoming a household name in the Nepali music industry.
