Nagendra Thapa

Basu Sashi was a pioneering Nepali poet, playwright, novelist, lyricist, and translator whose creative influence spanned literature, theatre, and cinema. Born on Chaitra 13, 1993 B.S. in Pashupati, Kathmandu, he founded the literary circle Rodi, where he worked alongside Bhupi Sherchan, Krishnabhakta Shrestha, Himanshu Thapa, and Kumar Nepal. Celebrated primarily as a poet, he also excelled in drama, fiction, songwriting, and translation, publishing more than two dozen works in Nepali and Newari. He wrote for the films Maya (2047‑10‑12) and Lobhi‑Papi (2047‑12‑15), the latter being especially associated with his name. He passed away on Chaitra 4, 2049 B.S. at Tata Memorial Hospital in India, and was cremated in Kathmandu the following day.

Born on 23rd Baisakh 2023 BS in Sanghutar Bajar, Ramechhap district, Uttam Bhaukajee emerged as a creative force in Nepali literature and music. The youngest among his siblings, he was raised by his parents, Badri Das Bhaukajee and Dil Kumari Bhaukajee, who instilled in him a strong foundation of values and learning. He completed his school education at Himganga Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, earning his SLC degree, and in 2040 BS, he moved to Kathmandu for higher education. There, he pursued and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University, though he chose not to enter the legal profession. Instead, he explored diverse fields and currently serves as the Founder Director of Nobel Academy—a testament to his leadership and dedication to education. Musical Breakthrough and Popular Songs Uttam Bhaukajee’s lyrical journey took off with Ram Krishna Dhakal’s music album Asraya, featuring his debut song: 🎵 "Mera Saara Khusiharu" – Composed by Sambhujeet Banskota This track marked the beginning of a meaningful collaboration between his poetic voice and Nepali music. Karna Shakya (born 1943) is a celebrated Nepali writer, environmentalist, and conservationist whose literary works—Soch, Khoj, Dolpo, Look Down Not Up, Kosh, Ma Sakchhu—blend personal philosophy, exploration, and social consciousness. A pioneer of Nepal’s hospitality and eco‑tourism sector, he founded the KGH Group and contributed significantly to conservation, including the establishment of Chitwan National Park.

Dinesh Adhikari (दिनेश अधिकारी) is a distinguished Nepali poet and lyricist, born on December 7, 1959, in Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal. His literary journey began in 1976, and since then, he has made significant contributions to Nepali literature and music. Adhikari has authored 12 books and released 14 audio albums, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the arts. His poetry collection "Atirikta Abhilekh" earned him the prestigious Madan Puraskar in 1999 (2056 B.S.), highlighting his profound impact on Nepali literature. Additionally, his work "Indrajatra" received the Sajha Puraskar in 1994 (2051 B.S.). As a lyricist, Adhikari has penned around 500 songs, collaborating with renowned Nepali musicians.
