Paras Gazmer was a respected Nepali musician, composer, lyricist, and singer from Darjeeling, celebrated for his emotionally powerful songwriting and his unique ability to translate personal struggle into deeply moving music. Despite losing his eyesight at the age of one and a half due to measles, he rose to become one of the most influential musical voices of the Darjeeling hills.Born in Tindharey, Kurseong in 1962, Paras studied at the Kalimpong Blind School, where he learned guitar and developed his musical foundation. Entirely self‑taught, he composed, wrote, and arranged his own songs, drawing inspiration from lived experience, inner emotion, and the philosophy that “our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.”He gained widespread recognition with his acclaimed albums Sanjha Ko Gham (1993) and Mero Bhagya (1999), both of which left a lasting mark on Nepali music. His compositions often explored themes of longing, hardship, and the inner world of the differently‑abled, resonating deeply with audiences across Nepal, Darjeeling, Sikkim, and the Nepali diaspora.Paras Gazmer performed extensively across the hills and neighboring regions and was honored by various cultural organizations for his contributions. Bunu Rai Manandhar is a Nepali singer known for her soulful voice, emotional depth, and unique journey into the music world. She was born on December 20 in Tokdah, Darjeeling, as the youngest daughter of D.S. Rai and Bindu Rai. Raised in a family of three sisters, Bunu describes herself as a disciplined yet short-tempered child who didn’t engage in school musical activities despite a deep-rooted love for music. She completed her schooling, higher secondary education, and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Griffith Higher Secondary School. After graduation, she moved to Kathmandu to pursue a career in music. However, life had other plans, and she began working as a pre-primary teacher at Gyanodaya School. While juggling teaching and personal responsibilities, she frequently traveled between Nepal and Darjeeling to complete her remaining academic work. Though she never took formal music lessons, her passion led her to join a local band named “Aarti” as the lead vocalist. This marked the beginning of her stage performances at various local events. Self-taught and dedicated, Bunu practiced regularly at home and honed her craft on her own terms. Her first major breakthrough came when she participated in the prestigious Narayan Gopal Sandhya Sajh, where she secured a spot among the Top 10 performers. This encouraged her to record her first few songs: "Yo Hariyali" composed by Shila Bahadur Moktan "Juna Ko Chaya" featured in Rocky Thapa’s collection album After a long hiatus of 20 years, Bunu made a stunning comeback with her debut solo album “Imagination”, released in 2012. Ankit Babu Adhikari is a musician, singer and lyricist from Kathmandu, known from his as finalist in Nepali Tara season 3 & the voice. Ankit started his musical career by composing and performing songs for a post-modern play Coma; A Political Sex staged at Shilpee Theatre, Kathmandu in 2014. His another major milestone includes his solo concert organised in tribute to Narayan Gopal.In 2014-15 he made it to Nepali Tara after which he gained wider audience throughout Nepal and abroad. His first original release is Ram Naam, a song that questions the physical existence of God; that was critically acclaimed in Nepal. He continued his experiment in a 2016 release Nau Futey Bhoot (9 ft. ghost), a song about Indian Blockade in Nepal, for which the Japan-based magazine The Diplomat named him Nepal's Singing Storyteller.

Dinesh Subba is a distinguished Nepali composer, singer, and lyricist, celebrated for his significant contributions to the country's music scene. Throughout his career, Subba has crafted numerous songs that have resonated with audiences. His discography includes the album "Spandan" released in 1991, and more recent works like the single "Yo Bhetko Samjhana (Acoustic Version)" released on July 23, 2024. Additionally, his collaboration on the album "Mannko Duri," released on March 30, 2023, showcases his versatility and enduring relevance in the music industry.
