The film is based on a renowned short story by Indra Bahadur Rai and explores social traditions and moral complexities during the rule of Jung Bahadur Rana (1846–1877). The film stars Saugat Malla, Anoop Bikram Shahi, and Geetanjali Thapa, bringing to life a compelling narrative about Nepal’s past. Jaar is set to release on May 9, 2025. Apart from films, Geetanjali has also appeared in commercials for brands like Tanishq and L'Oreal, alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
