Laxmi Prasad Joshi, popularly known as LP Joshi, was a pioneering Nepali folk singer and composer celebrated for introducing the traditional Binayo to a global audience through his iconic creation “Riting Riting Nabajau Binayo, Binayole Man Mero Chhinayo.” Born in 1993 BS in Dhankuta‑6, Beechbazar, he devoted his life to the preservation and promotion of Nepali lok‑sanskriti. Recognized with the title Lokgeet Samrat, Joshi produced widely loved songs such as Riting Riting, Vallo Kholo Pallo Kholo, Nigalo Gharima Chyakhura Nachyo, and Khipima Khipi Binayo Baja. Beginning his artistic journey in 2008 BS through dance, he expanded into painting, singing, and literature, sharpening his multidisciplinary talent. His first recorded song appeared in 2013 BS, and by 2020 BS most of his works were already documented. Joshi passed away at age 88 on 2081 Saun 10, leaving behind a lasting cultural legacy.

Dij Raj Poudel is a Nepali singer, composer, and lyricist known for his soulful voice and contributions to modern Nepali music since the early 2000s. Born in Sindhuli, he studied music under Dhan Bahadur Gopali and N.B. Chamling. His discography includes solo albums like Sambodhan, Sunaiko Durbar, Ghaderi, and Goreto, and he has contributed to numerous collection albums. Dij Raj’s popular songs include Timi Aaune Batoma, Sunaiko Durbar, Timi Kadarma, Nisthurile, Mauka Pare Pachi, Sunko Paincho, and Mutu Ma Bas Magi. He has performed internationally in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore, and China, promoting Nepali music across borders.

Paras Gazmer was a respected Nepali musician, composer, lyricist, and singer from Darjeeling, celebrated for his emotionally powerful songwriting and his unique ability to translate personal struggle into deeply moving music. Despite losing his eyesight at the age of one and a half due to measles, he rose to become one of the most influential musical voices of the Darjeeling hills.Born in Tindharey, Kurseong in 1962, Paras studied at the Kalimpong Blind School, where he learned guitar and developed his musical foundation. Entirely self‑taught, he composed, wrote, and arranged his own songs, drawing inspiration from lived experience, inner emotion, and the philosophy that “our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.”He gained widespread recognition with his acclaimed albums Sanjha Ko Gham (1993) and Mero Bhagya (1999), both of which left a lasting mark on Nepali music. His compositions often explored themes of longing, hardship, and the inner world of the differently‑abled, resonating deeply with audiences across Nepal, Darjeeling, Sikkim, and the Nepali diaspora.Paras Gazmer performed extensively across the hills and neighboring regions and was honored by various cultural organizations for his contributions. His legacy continues to be remembered as that of a musical icon who transformed adversity into art.

Sunil Singh Thakuri's passion for music ignited during his school years, where he began by mimicking popular singers. Encouraged by friends and family who recognized his vocal talent, he transitioned from casual performances to a professional music career. His debut song, "Mutuma Timilai", marked the beginning of his journey as a recording artist. This track laid the foundation for his first solo album, "Crazy Hat", released in 2007. The album featured a mix of love and emotional songs, with "Bhuli Bhuli Deu" earning a nomination for Best New Artist at the 10th Annual Tuborg Image Awards. Building on this success, Sunil released his second album, "Crazy Hat 2 – Ghatana Ghatyo", in 2008. The title track, "Ghatana Ghatyo", became a significant hit, showcasing his versatility and deepening his presence in the Nepali music scene. The song's popularity was bolstered by its engaging music video, which resonated with audiences nationwide. In recent years, Sunil has continued to evolve as an artist, releasing several singles that reflect his growth and adaptability.
