Dipak Sharma is a powerhouse in the Nepali music industry, known for his melodic versatility and emotional depth. Since beginning his career in 2061 B.S., he has composed over 1,000 songs across genres—ranging from modern pop and folk to film scores and Teej anthems. Early Life & Musical Roots Sharma moved to Kathmandu in 2060 B.S. after completing his SLC. While working in a hotel, he pursued music under the guidance of Guru Narhari Premi at Shruti Sangeet Vidyalaya. His first composition was the folk tune Dhalke Pipal, which marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. Artistic Vision Dipak Sharma is known for blending traditional Nepali melodies with modern arrangements. Saran Kumar Pradhan

Saran Kumar Pradhan (1943–1974) was one of Darjeeling’s most gifted lyricists, composers, and mandolin virtuosos, shaping the golden era of modern Nepali music. Born on 4 May 1943, he grew up in a culturally vibrant Darjeeling and taught himself banjo, harmonium, and mandolin with remarkable mastery. A science graduate from St. Joseph’s College, he later taught at St. Robert’s School, where he also composed the school anthem. A student of maestro Amber Gurung, Saran emerged as a leading figure of Adhunik music alongside Aruna Lama, whom he married in 1963. Their partnership produced timeless classics such as “Yaha Ful Nakhili Cha,” “Sabaile Bhanthe,” “Hera Na Hera Kancha,” and many others. His music club Sangeet Sangam became a creative hub that nurtured Darjeeling’s finest talents. Saran passed away in 1974 at just 31, leaving behind a luminous body of work that continues to define Nepali musical heritage.

Laxman Shesh

Laxman Shesh (also known as Laxman Bindari, born 18 August 1972, Hetauda) is a renowned Nepali music composer, music director, lyricist, and playback singer with a career spanning from 1988 to the present. Recognized officially as a “Renowned Class Music Composer/Music Director” by the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama under the Government of Nepal, he has become one of the key figures in modern Nepali film music.He has worked in more than 60 Nepali feature films, contributing as music director, lyricist, playback singer, and background‑score composer. His filmography includes titles such as Muna Madan, Mayako Saino, Timi Bina, Timro Maya 99 Mero Maya 100, Naya Nepal, Kina Lagchha Maya, Ko Hu Ma, Basanta Ritu, Nagarik, and Je Sukai Hos, among many others.Beyond composing, Shesh has been deeply involved in music and film policy and rights work: he has served on the Piracy Control Committee of the Nepal Film Development Board, the Film Censor Board, the Music Royalty Collection Society, and several government committees on copyright and intellectual property policy.
