With over three decades of experience, he has become a revered figure in Nepal’s music scene, performing at venues like Yala Mandala and collaborating with artists such as Laxmi Prasad Dangol and Mannu Shahi. His compositions—like “Intransient Nature”, “Childhoodness”, and “Jaya Namah Shree Buddha”—blend meditative ragas with spiritual depth. Bajracharya is also known for his unique offering to the Living Goddess Kumari, where he sought to teach her the sarod as a gesture of cultural devotion. Rudra Shekhar Sharma, known as RUDY, is a versatile singer who captivates audiences in various languages. Born in Jhapa, Nepal, to Bhumika Devi Upadhyay and Ganga Prasad Sharma, Sharma developed a passion for singing at a young age. Even during his school years, he actively participated in cultural activities. After his family moved to Kathmandu, Rudy's desire to become a singer grew stronger with the increased exposure to opportunities in the capital. While pursuing his education in Kathmandu, Sharma also took singing classes at several institutes. His penchant for modern songs and exceptional talent quickly earned him recognition in the music industry. Within a short period, Rudy established himself as a successful singer in the music scene. He found himself among the top singers of the time. Sharma's contribution to Nepali music was acknowledged when he received the 6th RAPATI MUSIC AWARD in 2074 BS for his exceptional singing skills. Despite the presence of other renowned singers at the peak of their careers, Sharma also made a mark among them. He has actively contributed to the Nepali music industry for over twelve years, delivering melodious tunes that resonate with listeners. In 2074 BS, Sharma released his debut album "RUPAM" which garnered significant attention in the Nepali music market. The album, consisting of five songs, received widespread acclaim and became a topic of discussion in the music circles. For the first time, Sharma found himself featured in an album, presenting him with a golden opportunity. Even amidst the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharma released songs like "Devadut Haau Timi," specially dedicated to doctors and medical professionals, contributing to the cause while pursuing his musical endeavors. Raju Lama is a Nepali singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of the popular band Mongolian Heart. Born on March 16, 1978, in Sindhupalchok, Nepal, he has been active in the Nepali music industry since 1993. His music spans multiple languages, including Nepali, Tibetan, and Tamang, making him a versatile artist. Kamala Shrestha is a celebrated Nepali singer known for her expressive voice and versatility across genres. She was born on Kartik 9, 2005 BS (approximately October 25, 1948 AD) in Kathmandu to Ram Bahadur Shrestha and Indra Maya Shrestha. Kamala began singing as a child and entered the professional music scene around 2024 BS (1967 AD) when she won first prize at a Radio Nepal anniversary competition for her song Naugediko Mala Mero. This marked the beginning of her active musical career, which flourished through the late 1960s, 1970s, and beyond. She was mentored by legendary composer Natikaji, who recognized her talent when she was just 13. Through Radio Nepal, she collaborated with iconic artists like Shiva Shankar and contributed to a wide range of musical styles—bhajans, Newari songs, Bhojpuri numbers, patriotic anthems, folk tunes, and adhunik (modern) songs. Over her career, she recorded more than 400 songs, many of which remain sadabahar (evergreen) classics. Kamala Shrestha also performed internationally, representing Nepal in India, China, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Japan, and other countries. Her dedication to music continued even after marriage and motherhood, defying social expectations of the time.
