Basanta Chhetri

Babul Giri is a respected Nepali music director, singer, lyricist, and composer known for his melodic, culturally rooted sound and consistent contribution to modern Nepali cinema. Active since 2014, he has directed music for major films including Chhakka Panja 4, Lakka Jawan, Ek Bhagavad Ra Ek Geeta, Upahaar, Cetamol, Dalle Le Entry Maryo, and the 2026 release Aa Bata Aama. His songs—such as the popular “Maya Kehi Ta Bolana”—showcase his signature blend of emotional vocals and refined arrangements. With credits across more than 15 feature films and a growing digital presence, Giri stands among Nepal’s most versatile and in‑demand contemporary music directors.

Yama Buddha, whose real name was Anil Adhikari, was a renowned Nepalese rapper and songwriter. He was born on May 30, 1987, in Dhankuta, Nepal, and tragically passed away on January 14, 2017, in London, UK. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nepalese hip-hop, often referred to as the "King of Nephop". Yama Buddha's music often addressed social issues, poverty, and personal struggles, resonating deeply with his audience. Some of his popular songs include "Saathi," "Aama," "Yo Prasanga," and "Antya Ko Suruwat". He also created and hosted the rap battle show "Raw Barz," which played a significant role in promoting hip-hop culture in Nepal.  

Sushant Ghimire is a rising Nepali singer-songwriter known for his introspective lyrics and soulful melodies. Originally from Biratnagar, he discovered his passion for music early on—singing Raju Lama’s “Timi Lai Dekhera” at a school event sparked his journey. Despite initially pursuing engineering and working full-time at a construction company, his love for music led him to perform cover songs and original compositions at bars in Kathmandu, often juggling gigs with his day job. Rudra Shekhar Sharma, known as RUDY, is a versatile singer who captivates audiences in various languages. Born in Jhapa, Nepal, to Bhumika Devi Upadhyay and Ganga Prasad Sharma, Sharma developed a passion for singing at a young age. Even during his school years, he actively participated in cultural activities. After his family moved to Kathmandu, Rudy's desire to become a singer grew stronger with the increased exposure to opportunities in the capital. While pursuing his education in Kathmandu, Sharma also took singing classes at several institutes. His penchant for modern songs and exceptional talent quickly earned him recognition in the music industry. Within a short period, Rudy established himself as a successful singer in the music scene. He found himself among the top singers of the time. Sharma's contribution to Nepali music was acknowledged when he received the 6th RAPATI MUSIC AWARD in 2074 BS for his exceptional singing skills. Despite the presence of other renowned singers at the peak of their careers, Sharma also made a mark among them. He has actively contributed to the Nepali music industry for over twelve years, delivering melodious tunes that resonate with listeners. In 2074 BS, Sharma released his debut album "RUPAM" which garnered significant attention in the Nepali music market. The album, consisting of five songs, received widespread acclaim and became a topic of discussion in the music circles. For the first time, Sharma found himself featured in an album, presenting him with a golden opportunity. Even amidst the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharma released songs like "Devadut Haau Timi," specially dedicated to doctors and medical professionals, contributing to the cause while pursuing his musical endeavors.
