Niruta Singh is a renowned actress and singer in Nepali cinema. Born in Darjeeling, India, she began her acting career in 1993 with the film Dakshina, directed by Tulsi Ghimire. She gained immense popularity for her role in the 2001 blockbuster Darpan Chhaya, which became the highest-grossing Nepali film of its time. Apart from acting, Niruta is also a talented singer and has contributed to music albums and TV series. After a brief hiatus from the film industry, she returned with the 2019 movie Dal Bhaat Tarkari.
