Afsana Thapa

Subhadra Adhikari was a revered Nepali actress whose artistic journey spanned more than six decades across film, theatre, radio, and television. Born in 2004 B.S. (1947/48 A.D.) in Asan, Kathmandu, she displayed exceptional talent from childhood—performing classical dance at age five at Saraswati Sadan (Camp) and beginning her acting career at age six through the Newari stage play ‘Kachimcha’ (काँचो माटो). Her debut film Manko Bandh marked the beginning of a prolific screen career. She went on to act in over one hundred Nepali films, earning admiration for her expressive performances in classics such as Chino, Kanyadan, Basudev, Bato Muniko Phool, Muna Madan, Basanti, Swarga, Saubhagya, and many others. She also appeared in notable titles including Jeevan Rekha, Badlido Aakash, Pirati, Maya Preeti, Bhauju, Mangalsutra, Behuli, Karja, Kathmandu, Dashgaja, and more—winning the hearts of audiences through diverse roles. Honored with the Chalachitra Dhirgha Sadhana Samman, Subhadra Adhikari remains one of Nepal’s most enduring and respected performing artists.    

Anshumala Shahi is a Nepali film actress best known for her appearance in the 1989 feature film Pachhis Basanta, the earliest and only verified credit currently documented in Nepali film archives. Her career is listed as active 1989 , though public records show limited available documentation of her later works.

Ashma Kumari KC is the dazzling Miss Nepal World 2024, crowned at the 28th edition of the Miss Nepal pageant held at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center. Born and raised in Kathmandu, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is also an entrepreneur. Her winning answer in the final round addressed climate change, where she emphasized that although Nepal contributes only 0.027% to global CO₂ emissions, it faces severe consequences. She advocated for urgent action—both personal and policy-driven—like switching to electric vehicles, planting trees, and eliminating single-use plastics. Ashma also earned the Face of the Year title, highlighting her standout presence among 26 semifinalists. She will represent Nepal at the 73rd Miss World competition, carrying forward her message of environmental responsibility and social impact.  

Muna Karki is a Nepali film actress appreciated for her expressive acting and her ability to portray emotionally grounded, relatable characters. Active in feature films, television projects, and music videos, she has built a reputation for delivering sincere, natural performances that connect with audiences. Her work spans social dramas, romantic stories, and character‑driven narratives, where she brings depth, clarity, and authenticity to each role. Known for her disciplined approach and dedication to craft, Muna Karki continues to collaborate with both emerging and established filmmakers. Her growing body of work reflects a commitment to meaningful storytelling and a strong connection with Nepali viewers.
