Anil Kurmi

Sushila Rayamajhi was a respected Nepali film artist known for her natural, emotionally grounded performances and her versatile contributions to cinema. Beginning her career through radio plays, she later worked at Rastriya Naachghar before transitioning fully into films, where she appeared in more than 50 movies. She gained recognition with her lead role in Chot and went on to act in acclaimed films such as Prem Pinda, A Mero Hajur, Kaha Bhetiyela, Pahuna, Nata Ragat Ko, and Yug Dekhi Yug Samma. She also produced and co‑produced films like Dhan Sampati and Pinjada, showcasing her creative range. Rayamajhi passed away on 26 January 2012 after battling uterine cancer, leaving behind a meaningful legacy in Nepali cinema.  

Shanti Maskey (born Magh 5, 1983 B.S. in Gorkha; passed away Magh 4, 2067 B.S.) was one of the most influential and pioneering actresses in Nepali performing arts. Known for her powerful presence across film, theatre, radio, and music, she helped shape the early identity of Nepali cinema and became a cultural icon whose legacy continues to inspire generations. She was passionate about singing, gifted with a naturally melodious voice. Her formal musical journey began in Biratnagar, where she introduced herself as a singer through Prajatantra Radio, gaining recognition for her expressive vocal style. This early artistic exposure strengthened her foundation before she transitioned into full‑time acting.

Laxmi Bardewa is an actress, known for Damaru Ko Dandibiyo (2018), Kagaz Patra (2019) and Ghampani (2017).

Sarita Bhandari is a Nepali film and telefilm artist recognized for her natural acting style and her ability to portray relatable, emotionally grounded characters. Bhandari’s work reflects the everyday experiences of Nepali life, making her a dependable presence in both mainstream and independent productions. With a growing body of screen work, she continues to contribute to the evolving landscape of Nepali cinema and television.
