Gopal Raj Mainali, popularly known by his iconic screen name “Chankhe,” was one of Nepal’s most beloved comedic actors, contributing more than four decades to Nepali cinema, theatre, and television. Born on Kartik 16, 2000 B.S. in Mangaltar, Kavrepalanchowk, he grew up with a natural flair for humor and storytelling. His film journey began with a small role in Hijo Aaja Bholi (1967), directed by Hira Singh Khatri, marking the start of a long and influential acting career. Mainali gained national recognition through his memorable comedic pairing with Basundhara Bhusal in Sindoor (1976), which became a cultural milestone. Over the years, he acted in more than 70 films and 60+ stage plays, including Kanyadan, Tilahari, Bhagyarekha, Ke Ghar Ke Dera, Yug Dekhi Yug Samma, Deuki, and Pacchyeuri. He was honored with multiple awards, including the Gaijatra Mahotsav Award, Vasudev Luintel Puraskar, and Nabin Puraskar, recognizing his lasting contribution to Nepali performing arts. Gopal Raj Mainali passed away in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and artistic excellence.

Ishwori Pradhan is a Nepali film artist, singer, and executive producer known for her roles in classic Nepali cinema and her contributions to playback singing during the 1989–2001 era. Active across acting, music, and production, she appeared in notable films such as Behuli (1989), Sampati (1991), Sworga (1994), Saraswati (1995), Sorah Barshe Jowan (2000), and Nepal Pyaro Chha (2001). As a playback singer, she contributed to Sworga (1994) and Soon Chandi (1996), and served as executive producer for Behuli (1989). Recognized for her versatile artistic presence and collaborations with leading Nepali actors and filmmakers, Ishwori Pradhan remains an important figure in the evolution of Nepali cinema’s 90s–2000s era.

Harisha Baniya is a Nepali model, dancer, and film artist active since around 2010, known for her expressive performances in music videos, stage shows, and television. She rose to wide recognition through the popular comedy serial Meri Bassai, where her portrayal of the Terai‑origin character “Bhuniya” became highly appreciated by audiences. Alongside television, she has acted in nearly three dozen telefilms and several Nepali films, expanding her presence across visual media.Harisha also worked in Bhojpuri cinema as a leading actress, further showcasing her versatility across regional industries. In 2065 BS, she earned the title of Purwanchal Top in Bhojpuri dance, highlighting her strong foundation in performance and movement. After marrying in 2075 BS, she gradually stepped away from the entertainment field and is currently not active in acting or modeling.
