Madhav Prasad Ghimire was a celebrated Nepali poet and scholar, honored as the "Rashtrakavi" (National Poet) of Nepal. Born on September 23, 1919, in Lamjung, Nepal, he had a literary career spanning over eight decades. His works, such as Gauri, Malati Mangale, Shakuntala, and Himal Pari Himal Wari, are considered masterpieces of Nepali literature. He also served as the Vice Chancellor and Chancellor of the Royal Nepal Academy. He passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
